Rather of sending a million "Sorry, typing mistake" messages, WhatsApp has revealed that delivered text messages will soon be able to be edited.

The functionality is already in development, according to WABetaInfo, and the source has an image to prove it, which shows a "edit" option for a delivered message in WhatsApp for Android.

All you have to do is long-press the sent message you wish to alter, and a three-dot menu will appear, with options for copying, editing, and information.

The company has stated that it is uncertain if messages would remain editable indefinitely or for a limited period of time.

You may resend the message after making changes here.

It will first be accessible on WhatsApp for iOS and the app's desktop version. However, it is scheduled to arrive to Android in the future.

Users can delete, rewrite, and resend fresh text messages at the moment.
