Samsung has been pitted against Apple (and Motorola) in US smartphone shipments, with nearly every recent (and semi-recent) iPhone model outselling the latest Galaxy high-ends in global popularity, and the top three wireless service providers in the US ranked (and ranked again) in terms of 5G speed and availability.


But now is the time to take a look at a new analysis that examines all of the mobile industry's strong hitters from a different (if not more relevant) perspective. After all, a company's long-term financial viability is impossible to achieve without customer loyalty, and customer happiness is impossible to achieve without customer loyalty.


Enter the 25-year-old American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI), a self-explanatory and well accepted national economic indicator based on email interviews with more than 23,000 randomly selected consumers across the country between April 2021 and March 2022.


While Samsung and Apple are tied for first place in the mobile phone manufacturer hierarchy with an ACSI average of 80 points out of a possible 100, LG is second in the handset model chart with a three-year-old device.
