(IANS) San Francisco, May 22: According to a survey, Google's Android 11 is the most widely disseminated version of Android, with over 28.3 percent of total Android devices running it.

According to 9To5Google, Google has updated its graphic displaying the proportion of Android smartphones running various OS versions, but there are still no information concerning Android 12's adoption rate.

According to the updated 2022 distribution statistics, smartphones running Android 11 and newer now account for 28.3 percent of the pie, up from 24.2 percent.

Given the ubiquity of Samsung smartphones and how the business maintains even its low-cost handsets updated, even up to Android 12, this comes as no surprise.

To match, the percentage of smartphones still running Android 10 has dropped to 23.9 percent, down from 26.5 percent in November.

Each successive version of Android has witnessed a similar drop in utilization, with Jelly Bean usage presently hovering around half a percent.

According to the study, the omission of Android 12 numbers in this current chart is likely due to its intended function for Android developers.
